Arrival & Departure:

Arrival - Friday 8th:

You are welcome to arrive from 3:00pm.

If you are travelling from further away and need to arrive slightly earlier, this is possible, just let me know in advance and I will be there to greet you.

On arrival, we will meet at The Barn, where I will welcome you, the Cabilla team will guide you to your cabin.

Departure - Monday 11th:

Cabins will need to be vacated by 9:00am.

Our final morning will have a slightly different rhythm. We’ll begin with breakfast in the main barn.

There will be time to practice, rest, walk to the river, or use the showers and facilities if you’d like to freshen up or take another dip.

We’ll be departing by 12:00pm.

There is usually plenty of good food left across the weekend, so you may wish to bring a container if you’d like to take something with you for your journey.

Your Koyt

You’ll be staying in one of Cabilla’s off-grid Koyt cabins, set within an opening in the forest.

Inside, you’ll find either a king-size or twin bed, with soft cotton linen, towels, blankets and hot water bottles to keep you comfortable. A log burner is available in each cabin, with everything needed to light a fire. There will be assistance to do this too if you need it.

Large triangular windows open the space to the surrounding land, so you remain in connection with the elements even while indoors.

The cabins are simple and off-grid, which is part of the experience of being in this landscape. Lighting is battery-powered, and bathrooms and showers are located a short walk away in the communal barn.

If you haven’t already, please let me know if you have a preference for being closer to the barn.

Our Shared Spaces

Much of our time together will centre around the main barn.

This is a warm, communal space where we’ll gather for meals, rest, and moments in between.

There is a large shared table where we’ll eat together, as well as softer areas to sit, read, or spend time quietly.  Tea, coffee and fruit are available through the day, and you’re welcome to move in and out of the space as you need throughout the day.

Bathrooms and showers are located here, with individual shower & chainging cubicles, underfloor heating, Bramley products, and hairdryers.

Here is our studio space where we’ll practise, along with areas outdoors to sit, gather around the fire, or spend time in the fresh air.

Wifi is available in the barn if needed, though you may find yourself naturally stepping away from it during your time here.

What to bring:

The weather on Bodmin Moor in May can be changeable, so it’s best to come prepared for a range of conditions, sun, rain, and everything in between.

You may find the following helpful:

  • Comfortable clothes for movement practice
  • Warm layers (especially for mornings and evenings)
  • Waterproof jacket
  • Outdoor shoes or boots for walking. (I have a pair of Japanese barefoot wellies that are so easy to pack)
  • Something you don’t mind getting a little muddy. Waterproof trousers can be so useful.
  • Swimwear and a towel for the river
  • A water bottle
  • A journal, if you like to write or reflect
  • Sunscreen and/or a hat

There will be blankets, bedding, and essentials provided in your cabin.

You’ll also receive a Moving Fascia® bundle on arrival, so there’s no need to bring any props with you.

There is usually some time spent outdoors, so bring what will help you feel comfortable and at ease in the elements.
